Basic frame design

Check out the sweet new Foes downhill bike:

Now, wait just a second here. I'm not a scientist, but if we move the tubes around a little while maintaining exactly the same linkage structure, we can...

Nah, the original looks fine.

The most useful talents on the planet

I don't know if I've posted this already, but if that's going to be a problem for you, you suck anyway.

This video comes straight to us from Team Merkinator. This shit is deadly serious:

Side note: the camera is always stable, indicating the use of a tripod, self filming, and a high likelihood of the type painful, lonely isolation that leads to developing such skills as mid-folding chair walk yo-yo flipping.

I'm impressed.

New Banner/Mission Statement

We revised our banner to include our new Team Robot mission statement:

More van action

In other van news, Kyle Thomas is currently winning at life with his freshly painted, extended length 7.3 L Diesel E350. The only downside is that no self-respecting rapist would drive a van that easy to spot, so he can't really call it a "rapist van" anymore.

Selling stuff on pinkbike

I'm still trying to sell this fork on Pinkbike. After a week of less than fruitful responses, I've lowered the price all the way to $625.

Good news! I finally got a bite:

"trade for DHS 2.75 avalanche shock with 550 and 450 spring its 8.75 i2i got new oil in in about a month ago rode it once since cause of busy month. also i would send my 04 boxxer race forks"

No. Why would I want that? I would have listed the price as "one DHS 2.75 avalanche shock with 550 and 450 spring, 8.75 i2i, new oil in in about a month ago and 04 boxxer race forks" if that's what I wanted. I don't know this person, and they're from San Diego, so I'm pretty sure they're not kidding.

I'm still waiting to get offered an X-box and paintball guns. In the mean time, I'd rather keep my 2 year old, world championship-winning fork over your 6 year old, not world championship-winning fork. Still open to trading for $625 cash, though.

This is ridiculous

Seriously, totally ridiculous. Did they really have to slow mo the whole thing? Ridiculous.

Vans

Go ahead and skip the last six seconds of this next video, but still behold it's awesomeness:

I love the orange stumpy Chevy lightin' em' up in the middle.

Sea Otter/more bacon?

Some photos from Littermag/Vital MTB's G-out project of Looch and Evan Gilsdorf at Sea Otter. Wish I was there.

In other news, I got a lot of good responses from the earlier bacon post. Some people directed me to other bacon art-forms. I learned today that you can have too much bacon. Or too much time on your hands. Or both:

Danny Swan

Check out this picture, circa 2001 or so, of our buddy Danny Swan of Splat Designs as a junior at the Sea Slaughter sending it past the pathetic humans:

Danny's on our no-kill list. Are you?

My Weekend in PA

Goggles are good to remember. Unfortunately, I'm an idiot, and I forgot for them for my qualifier.

Did I crash? Nope. Would a crash have treated my ego better than 19th place? Yes.

On the bright side, I looked good out there.

You may ask yourself: "Self, is it really necessary for Charlie to post three almost identical photos himself?"

Yes. Yes it is.
